Loveheadhouse the Podcast 1

For the inaugural episode of Loveheadhouse the Podcast I interview Bryan Schutmaat, a photographer who lives in Austin, Texas, who is the author of three photobooks, and who just recently won a Guggenheim Fellowship.

Bryan and I first met when we were both students in the Hartford Art School International Photography MFA program, where I witnessed the beginnings of what would be Bryan’s first book, Grays the Mountain Sends.

Grays went on to win over a dozen important awards and eventually led to gallery representation in New York, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Bryan’s photographs have been exhibited around the world, and collected by major museums.
